I’m a Pediatrician, aesthetic physician, educator, and mom of four — and I feel incredibly fortunate to do work that I genuinely love. I completed my medical degree and specialty training in Pediatrics at the University of British Columbia, and currently practice as a Consultant Pediatrician in Vancouver and at Richmond Hospital. I also provide care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at BC Women’s Hospital, where I care for some of our tiniest and most vulnerable patients. In addition, I serve as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics at UBC and as a Neonatal Resuscitation Instructor. Throughout my career, I’ve always been drawn to areas of medicine that combine science, precision, connection, and compassion — which is what ultimately led me to aesthetic and procedural medicine. At Emerge Wellness, I’m excited to offer pediatric skin consultations for concerns such as acne and eczema, alongside aesthetic treatments including injections and other cosmetic procedures for adults of all ages. I’m passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, confident and healthy in their own skin, whether that means supporting a child struggling with eczema, guiding a teen through acne treatment, or helping adults achieve refreshed, natural-looking results. My approach is thoughtful, comprehensive, and patient-centered. I believe aesthetic medicine should enhance your natural features while still feeling authentically you. Above all, I want every patient to feel heard, respected, and cared for. Outside of medicine, life is wonderfully busy. My husband and I are raising four amazing kids and two very large dogs, and as a family we love spending time outdoors, travelling, staying active, and finding as many reasons to laugh together as possible. « Platelet rich plasma (PRP) skin rejuvenation, is a cosmetic, non-surgical process that rejuvenates the skin around your eyes, face +/- neck. PRP reduces wrinkles and gives you a more youthful appearance. PRP stimulates the growth of collagen and elastin which thickens and tightens thinning skin, making skin more youthful. Treatment help to smooth wrinkles and fine lines. Because it boosts collagen, it's also a great treatment for improving overall skin texture and tone. PRP | Hair Treatment

« Please ensure you have booked a consultation with Dr. KK before starting treatment. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for hair restoration. This procedure includes drawing a sample of blood from you and extracting the platelets and growth factors which are key in restoring hair follicle health and hair regrowth. We then carefully re-inject this product into your scalp. This requires 4 treatments 6-8 weeks apart to start the regrowth process. What is your treatment regime? First, you will meet with Dr. KK or her team members to discuss your concerns in a complimentary consultation. We will discuss concomitant treatments that can help your results to be the best they can be. We will make recommendations for you to follow up with your primary care provider regarding blood work testing. Dr. Kasteel’s protocol consists of 4 treatments, spaced 6 weeks apart. (5-8 weeks is acceptable). Many people notice subtle changes even after as little as 1 or 2 treatments but be patient as results continue to improve for up to 6 months. PRP is rich in growth factors that stimulate the growth of new follicles, lengthen the growth phase of existing hair follicles, and increase the number of hairs and blood vessels in a treated area. VE 911 Call

« Thank you for contacting VE-911, our rapid-access vaginal estrogen program. You will be contacted briefly by a physician to review your symptoms and determine whether vaginal estrogen is appropriate for you. This appointment is specifically for vaginal estrogen treatment and does not include assessment or management of systemic hormone therapy such as estrogen patches/gels, progesterone or testosterone. You do not need to be an existing patient of our clinic to use VE-911. The program is available to eligible women in British Columbia with valid MSP coverage, and your physician appointment is MSP-covered at no cost to you. Prescription medication costs are separate and depend on your individual drug coverage.
