Dr. Judith de Niet
À propos de Judith
Dans ses motsMy dream has been to open a health clinic that promotes a holistic approach to health: offering both counselling and esthetics to work on healing, relaxing and balancing both the body and mind.
I am wholeheartedly passionate about helping people reach their goals of improved mental, emotional and physical health. I believe that holistically uniting counselling to clear the mind with the benefits of rejuvenating esthetic services, help clients feel relief, confidence and connection.
I have a long road of education and experience behind me that has allowed me to realize my goals and follow my passion. I finished my Master’s degree in Clinical and Health Psychology in 2004 followed by my PhD while working at the departments of Medical Psychology and Psychotherapy and Reproductive Medicine at the Erasmus University Hospital in the Netherlands. I crossed the ocean to Canada and did my Post-doc at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC and I am currently still doing work for BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver, BC.
I have over 20 years of experience working with adults, teens and children working with weight management issues, infertility, chronic illnesses/pain, relationship issues/life transitions, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (# 6416) and a member in good standing with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and have received my Body Spa Esthetics Diploma with honours at John Casablancas Institute, Vancouver, BC.
I have published several articles and book chapters related to these topics and have spoken at many national and international conferences, sharing my research with other experts in the field. I have also won several awards for new research concepts including weight management therapies.
