Dr. Laura Hughes has extensive experience successfully treating patients of all ages for a variety of conditions, ranging from lower back pain, neck pain, sciatica, and headaches to sports injuries and wellness care. Taking a patient-centred approach, Dr. Laura performs a comprehensive assessment and provides individualized treatment plans and recommendations to address each patient’s unique needs and goals. Dr. Laura attended the university of Memphis on an athletic scholarship where she played Division 1 varsity tennis and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science. She then attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto where she obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Following graduation, Dr. Laura practiced for several months in Malahide, Ireland before moving to Vancouver Island, where she opened a chiropractic clinic in the Cowichan Valley and maintained a busy practice for over 10 years. She is excited to now be living in the beautiful Comox Valley where she enjoys skiing, swimming, camping, and spending time with her husband and two young children.
