Dans ses motsDr. Mandie studied Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Calgary, and is a registered Doctor of Acupuncture, with a Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is an Acupuncturist in good standing who is passionate about her work.
She was introduced to Acupuncture when she was pregnant with her daughter and then again when she sought relief from carpal tunnel pain and IBS symptoms. Even with a severe needle phobia, it was such a life changing experience for her that she made the decision to become an Acupuncturist so that she could help others experience this amazing medicine.
Her dream is to be able to share Acupuncture with as many people as possible and show them what a beautiful, relaxing, and effective treatment it truly is. Her own fear of needles has helped her develop a very gentle needling technique which most patients find surprising and comforting, and best of all, helpful in their journey to health.
If you can't find Dr. Mandie in the clinic, or mentoring future Acupuncturists, you will find her hanging out with her beautiful daughter Amelia, trying to herd cats (all two of them), rediscovering her love of reading and art, or hitting up one of Calgary’s amazing restaurants.

Couples Cupping Course
« In this 1.5-2 hour workshop you will learn the basics of anatomy, areas to avoid or be cautious about, and how to treat different areas of the body with silicone cups. A short demonstration will be performed on each participant, with time for each person to practice and ask questions.
This course will give you the foundation to perform cupping on another person in the comfort of your own home. Body areas that will be covered will be: face, neck, shoulders, back, thighs, calves, and forearms.
Included with the course: a printout of the techniques and cupping instructions, which will also include charts of basic anatomy and muscles, red flags, and cautions, a bagged set of eight silicone body cups and one facial cup, and a bottle of fractionated coconut oil.
PLEASE NOTE: This class needs to be booked directly with reception and is not available on certain days. The total cost is $300 for the course but will be billed at $150 per participant. « For current patients who have been treated in the last 12 months - this follow-up appointment is designed for when time is of the essence. Perfect for booking when you need a continuation of care treatment, or if you want to come in over your lunch hour. We will do a quick review of the past treatments for your current concern, then based on your requirements you will receive a treatment which may include one or two of the following modalities: acupuncture, cupping, moxa, herb recommendations, and lifestyle recommendations.
NOTE: If it has been 12 months or more since your last visit, you must book a 60 minute follow-up instead - 45 minutes isn't sufficient to properly update your health history.

Very thin and small needles are used so there is almost no sensation with any needling that is done. Special techniques can also be used if there is a strong needle aversion.
