About Nick
Dr. Nick Monteiro graduated from the University of Toronto, where he earned a Bachelor
of Kinesiology with High Honours in 2018. Through his early work as a kinesiologist, he developed a strong interest in movement-based care and rehabilitation, and how hands-on therapy combined with targeted
exercise can improve function and quality of life. This experience led him to pursue chiropractic,
graduating Magna Cum Laude as a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial
Chiropractic College.
Dr. Nick brings a wide range of clinical experience, working with soccer clubs and varsity athletes,
as well as individuals managing chronic and recurrent pain related to work, sport, and daily life. He
treats a variety of conditions, including shoulder and arm injuries, running injuries, lower back pain,
and nerve-related pain. His own experience in endurance sports gives him a first-hand
understanding of the physical demands placed on the body and informs his approach to helping
athletes recover and perform at their best.
As an evidence-based chiropractor, Dr. Nick’s philosophy extends beyond symptom relief. He takes
a comprehensive, hands-on approach to identify contributing factors, address underlying
movement or neurological drivers, and work collaboratively with patients to develop personalized
treatment plans. His care integrates manual therapy, active rehabilitation, clinical acupuncture,
and patient education, with the goal of supporting long-term recovery, improved performance, and
sustainable movement.
Dr. Nick is committed to continually expanding his skill set and staying up to date with the latest
evidence-informed treatment approaches to ensure his patients receive modern, effective care.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Nick is an avid triathlete with a deep passion for movement and the outdoors. His other enjoyments include climbing, hiking, snowboarding, paddle sports, and fishing.
