À propos de Sarah
Dans ses motsSarah Grammaticos is a Naturopathic Doctor registered in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. Following her graduation from Queen’s University, Sarah completed her four year Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. This rigorous program includes in-depth training in each of the naturopathic treatment modalities, as well as a core foundation of pathology, anatomy, microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, and public health. Her clinical internships included rotations in community care settings and multidisciplinary clinics.
Sarah supports an evidence-based, integrative model for health care and believes that collaborative care with skilled practitioners is the best way to help you meet your health goals. She chose naturopathic medicine as a career because she understands that the best care comes from listening deeply, gathering data and putting all the puzzle pieces together. Relationships are the cornerstone of her practice. She provides a safe and positive treatment space where you are encouraged to ask questions and voice your preferences. There is no 'one size fits all' prescription for health. Sarah takes the time to work with you to come up with realistic and achievable health goals. Her patients guide her practice, and she learns from their experiences every day.
Sarah is trained to assess and address both the acute and chronic care needs of a diverse population, using a variety of tools including acupuncture, lab analysis, nutritional assessment and physical exam skills. She is a firm believer in treating the whole person, not just the condition. While she loves the challenge of maintaining a general practice, working with people of all ages and stages of health, her clinical interests centre around the role that hormones play in the way we think and feel. She has extensive experience supporting patients with menstrual cycle regulation, fertility, perimenopause and has completed additional training addressing the complex needs of people with PCOS and thyroid concerns. Sarah has also completed training in pharmacology and obtained prescribing rights for selected substances including bio-identical hormones (estrogen, progesterone and thyroid hormone) and therapeutic dosing of nutrients via intramuscular injections.
Sarah also has extensive experience treating pain and building long term resilience to chronic conditions, including stress and burnout. She is motivated to uncover the root causes of illness and support the development of optimal wellness. She is consistently updating her skill sets through continuing education in order to better serve her community and is a member in good standing of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
Outside of the clinic, you can find Sarah chasing her toddler and her schnoodle, Little Jerry, at the park. She moved to the Junction Triangle in 2014 and is ever grateful for the excellent coffee, patios and pastries nearby.
