À propos de Ellen
Dans ses motsinkyoung (Ellen) Baek is a dedicated Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) based in British Columbia, Canada. She graduated from Vancouver Career College, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical assessment and therapeutic techniques, enabling her to provide safe, effective, and evidence-based care. Ellen is committed to delivering patient-centered treatments tailored to each individual’s needs.
Ellen’s areas of clinical focus include chronic pain management, postural imbalances, injury recovery, and prenatal and postnatal care. She takes a comprehensive and proactive approach to treatment rather than addressing symptoms alone, she emphasizes long-term recovery and prevention. She empowers patients through education, functional movement, and personalized home-care strategies. Her treatment approach integrates a wide range of therapeutic techniques, including General Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Therapy, Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilizations, Trigger Point Therapy, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), and Active Release Techniques (ART). Ellen performs detailed pre and post treatment assessments to monitor progress and ensure that each patient receives customized care to optimize recovery and overall well-being.
Before becoming an RMT, Ellen worked as a licensed aesthetician and bodyworker, providing a variety of massage treatments in hotel spas and brand spas. From 2011 until moving to Canada in 2017, she gained extensive experience in Swedish massage, deep tissue techniques, hot stone therapy, prenatal and postnatal massage, and reflexology.
Outside of her practice, Ellen enjoys swimming, hiking, and strength training. She believes in maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle and encourages her patients to incorporate movement and self-care into their daily routines.
Please note: As Ellen is new to our clinic, we are currently in the process of enrolling them with insurance providers. During this short setup period (usually a few days), direct billing may not be available.
You’re still very welcome to proceed with your appointment—receipts can be submitted manually to your insurer, and most plans reimburse quickly. We appreciate your patience and are happy to help if you have any questions.
