I’m Ellen, a Registered Clinical Social Worker (MSW, RCSW) with a specialization in child & adolescent mental health. I am experienced in working with children, youth, young adults, and families who are impacted by trauma, grief, loss, anxiety, depression, obsessions and compulsions, low self-esteem, and identity struggles.
I believe in incorporating creative and compassionate approaches into my clinical work and do so by utilizing play and art therapy techniques, child focused EMDR, attachment based interventions, elements of cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness strategies.
When I’m not at working, I’m practicing my own self-care by spending time with people who support me, being outside with my dog, and dreaming of future travels.
