About Emily
Hello and welcome!
My name is Emily, and I am an MACP counselling student at Yorkville University.
Originally from
Vancouver, Canada and now based in Copenhagen, Denmark, I understand the challenges of
starting over, adjusting to a new culture, building a support system, and navigating change all
while managing my own mental health. These experiences have shaped my self-awareness and
deepened my understanding of what it takes to heal, grow, and move toward meaningful
change.
My goal is to support you in doing the same. I work with individuals, supporting you through
experiences such as grief, trauma, life transitions, and mental health challenges.
I take an
integrative, holistic approach, drawing from humanistic, cognitive behavioural, and client centred
therapies. Our work together is collaborative. You are at the centre, and I offer guidance,
support, and tools to help you build insight, strengthen self-awareness, clarify your values, and
develop greater self-worth.
I aim to create a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard and
understood.
I also work from a trauma-informed and culturally responsive perspective,
recognizing that your unique experiences shape how you see yourself and the world.
There is no one size fits all approach to therapy. I will tailor our work to your individual needs
and goals, supporting you in creating meaningful and lasting change.
If this resonates with you, I would be happy to connect.
