Hi, my name is Emily and I am an enthusiastic newcomer to Vernon and have quickly fallen in love with the vibrant surrounding and welcoming community. I have completed my 2 year diploma at Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy. I was the recipient of the Leadership Award as voted by my peers, as well as the Citizenship Award as awarded by my instructors. My interest in the human body kickstarted while instructing yoga for 10 years in a bustling Burnaby B.C based studio. It was there that I began to foster through adjacent and personal experience that the body has an innate ability to heal itself when given the right support. I have been dreaming about pursuing a career as an RMT ever since and it’s been through a wonderful twist and turn of life events that I found myself where I am today. I believe that everyone deserves to feel their best, and I am committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment where clients can unwind and rejuvenate. My approach to manual therapy is built on the foundation of working in harmony with the nervous system. In a treatment I incorporate a variety of techniques including Myofascial and General Swedish Massage, and I am able to adapt my pressure to the preference of each client. I have a passion for life, learning and I aim to bring an aspect of curiosity and care to every massage session. I am looking forward to working with you! When I’m not offering Massage Therapy at Creekside you can find me enjoying time with friends and family, gardening, walking The Grey Canal Trail, bicycle riding, or enjoying a warm beverage at a local cafe.
