After gaining some experience working with athletes, specifically marathon athletes and triathletes to maintain and recover, Erica made the transition to working with those stuck at their desks in that t-rex position, to help relieve their postural issues while providing a stress-reducing treatment. During this transition, she started to include treatments for families, especially children to help relieve some of their body tension from nervous system dysregulation and perceived growing pains while providing them with a safe environment to relax in. She understands that each client is unique and loves working with the client's goals to develop an appropriate massage treatment plan.
Throughout these transitions, she has always combined therapeutic massage techniques such as trigger point therapy, myofascial release, facilitated stretching and passive movements, and Swedish. Over the years as an RMT, she has trained in Rocktape (Kinesiology) Taping, Myo-fascial Cupping, Traditional Indian Head Massage, and Pediatric ASD Awareness, as well as recently completing an Infant Craniosacral Therapy course to add to her bag of treats.
After having no support of her own while transitioning into motherhood, Erica has been on a mission to gain all the knowledge and wisdom she wishes was afforded to her. Which once again has shifted her treatment focus onto Pregnancy/Prenatal, Postpartum and Infants, as well as her venture into the Lactation world. After becoming a Breastfeeding Buddy Volunteer in 2021, she completed her certification as a Lactation Educator & Support (in 2022) as well as an Infant & Family Sleep Professional to help inform new parents that it's okay to need help and have questions.
