About Erin
Erin Walsh is a Licensed Counselling Therapist and Canadian Certified Counsellor. Erin holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Memorial University and is completing her Masters in Counselling Psychology with Yorkville University.
With four years of experience at Anglophone School District South (ASD-S), Erin has provided behavior intervention and social/emotional support to middle and high school students. She brings a developmental and forensic psychology background and has advanced training in trauma-informed practice, psychopathology, and personal wellness.
Erin's passion lies in working with adolescents and adults. Trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, she uses strengths-based therapeutic modalities to empower clients through the discovery of their innate strengths and resiliency.
Erin believes in a collaborative therapeutic relationship as essential for successful outcomes. Her experience encompasses various issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger management, coping strategies, interpersonal conflict, mood disorders, personality disorders, suicidal ideation, grief management, stress management, neurodiversity, and trauma.
Erin invites clients to join her on a path toward a more empowered, authentic, and fulfilling life.
She looks forward to helping increase the life satisfaction of her clients, by offering a safe,
compassionate, and empathetic environment in which they can grow and work through some
of the complexities and challenges of life.
