Eva Hitschfeld
À propos de Eva
Dans ses motsEva obtained her Physical Therapy Masters Degree from McGill in 2013. She is a dedicated and empathetic professional, whose main goal as a physiotherapist is getting her clients back to doing what they love - whether it's starting to run again after knee injury or being able to paint without shoulder pain!
Her post-graduate training includes treatment of TMJ (jaw) issues, vestibular rehabilitation, the Myofascial/ Soft Tissue Release technique and the McKenzie Method for the treatment of neck and back pain. She completed the courses of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual Therapy level 3 and particularly enjoys working with athletes, helping them return to their sport. Eva is certified in dry needling by the Ordre Professionnel de la Physiothérapie du Québec.
Movement and exercise are important parts of Eva's practice. She creates tailor-made routines for each client, and empowers them to take on an active role in their rehabilitation. Based on an understanding of each person's goals, expectations, and abilities, Eva creates individualized exercise plans, provides attentive hands-on treatment, as well as education and advice for patients of all ages.
Eva has also studied Spanish for several years throughout high school and university. She is certainly not fluent, but has successfully treated clients who only spoke Spanish!
Outside the clinic, Eva loves to cook, dance, and travel (living in and exploring Africa as a child gave her the travel bug!). She can also often be found listening to a variety of podcasts, hot cup of tea in hand.
