Gina recently completed her 200hr yoga teacher training and applies mindfulness and mind-body connection in her physiotherapy practice.
In her off time Gina is an avid athlete with a background in many different sports, such as basketball, fitness competitions, triathlon, yoga, and crossfit, but cross trains today primarily because she loves it! She believes that not only physical health is important but mental health should not be over looked and practices both meditation and yoga on a regular basis.
Gina also consults out in the community, and provides clinical and professional practice leadership. She provides coaching, mentoring and work planning to support various health professionals in their practice and strength training coaches in their programming. She runs various Movement and Mobility workshops to educate both health professionals, coaches, and athletes on the recognition of mobility and stability issues, and how it can alter sport or training performance.
Gina is highly disciplined and knows that consistent work and dedication are keys to success. She also values life-long learning and continues to further her own education by taking advanced physiotherapy courses. Gina is friendly, enthusiastic, detail oriented and professional. Custom brace fitting
« Custom knee braces are available for post operative recovery, knee instabilities, osteoarthritis, ligament stabilization and for prevention of further injury. We currently offer custom and off the shelf braces offered by Breg.
Custom knee bracing can be very effective at allowing you to stay active while you await further diagnostic testing, arthroscopic surgery or postoperatively to prevent additional trauma to an affected knee.
If you currently have extended health care coverage for physiotherapy services, it is very likely that your insurance will also cover some or all of the cost of a custom knee brace. A physician’s note recommending a custom knee brace will almost always be required. Most insurance companies will not cover a custom knee brace if it is recommended for sports only, It would need to be for everyday use in order for most to cover the cost.
We can help to guide you through this process at the clinic. We will provide you with all of the necessary paperwork to send to your insurance company for predetermination.
Delivery is rapid with off the shelf, 48hr if required. Custom knee braces can be expedited as well if necessary but typically are delivered within approximately 7 business days. »Radial Shockwave Therapy
« Extracorpeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESTW) using the Swiss DolorClast method produces high energy shock waves and delivers them to the tissue vis the surface of the skin. As a result, the therapy activates self-healing processes to where the pain occurs. Better blood circulation and the formation of new blood vessels results in improved metabolism - in turn, activating cell generation and helping to dissolve calcium deposits. Radial shock wave therapy can treat:
Tennis Elbow,
Golfers elbow,
Shoulder pain,
Achilles tendinitis,
Plantar fasciitis,
Back and neck pain,
Painful Trigger points,
Heel spurs,
Greater trochanteric pain syndrome,
...and much more. »Re evaluationNew patient
