About Gurman
Gurman graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor’s in Health Science
and a minor in Biology. She then proceeded to obtain her Doctorate in Physiotherapy
from the University of Melbourne, Australia. She graduated with her Doctorate in 2015
and started her career in private practice, working in several different private practice
settings.
During that time, she took several courses, such as Functional Dry Needling I & II,
pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain, and attended in-clinic seminars, such as shoulder
rehab and scoliosis.
She is well-equipped in treating musculoskeletal conditions, such as back pain, neck
pain, and shoulder pain; acute and chronic injuries, pre and post-surgical rehabilitation,
pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain, soft-tissue injuries following motor-vehicle
accidents, tension-related headaches, tendonitis (such as tennis elbow, golfers elbow
and plantar fasciitis), ankle sprains, wrist strains, job-related pain, such as from working
from home, or injuries from repetition, and much more. In her spare time, Gurman likes
to spend time outdoors, travel, play with her dog and spend time with her friends and
family.
