Hannah Shaw (she/her) is a Registered Social Worker with over six years of experience supporting youth, adults, and families through life’s challenges. As a neurodivergent and 2SLGBTQIA+ identifying clinician, Hannah brings both lived and professional experience into her practice, creating a space where clients feel safe, affirmed, and respected.
She specializes in working with neurodivergent clients (Autism and ADHD), individuals navigating illness and disability, anxiety, addiction, grief, and is 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming. Recognizing that traditional talk therapy often overlooks neurodivergent needs, Hannah is committed to trauma-informed, neurodivergent-friendly care that does not encourage masking, but instead supports clients in embracing their authentic selves and finding ways to thrive in a world not always designed for them.
Hannah draws from humanistic and evidence-based therapies including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She tailors her approach to meet each client where they are, fostering empowerment, resilience, and the belief that growth and change are possible at every stage of life.
Education: Hannah is a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and is a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and continues to pursue training in trauma-informed care and anti-oppressive practice.
