About Heather
Heather is a Registered Social Worker and offers a warm, welcoming, and compassionate space for individuals navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and the many transitions of parenthood. She believes in showing up authentically and supporting her clients in doing the same, while honouring each person as the expert of their own lived experience.
Heather is especially passionate about supporting perinatal and postpartum mental health, recognizing how pregnancy, birth, and parenting at any stage can bring profound change, vulnerability, and growth. She works with clients aged 16+ to gently explore how past and present experiences shape their sense of self, their relationships, and their parenting journey. With curiosity and care, she helps uncover patterns and emotions that may be contributing to distress, using them as pathways toward healing, resilience, and deeper connection.
As a parent to two young children, Heather understands firsthand the emotional, mental, and practical challenges of parenting—including the exhaustion, identity shifts, and competing demands that often accompany this season of life. This lived experience informs her work and deepens her empathy, while remaining grounded in evidence-based, ethical clinical care.
She has experience supporting a variety of individuals through grief and bereavement, prenatal and postpartum mental health, pregnancy loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, and the emotional complexities of parenting. Heather also supports clients navigating identity shifts, self-esteem, stress, and life transitions.
Her practice is rooted in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) and Narrative Therapy, and is complemented by Solution-Focused and Strengths-Based approaches. She integrates trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and client-centred frameworks to ensure therapy feels safe, empowering, and responsive to each client’s unique needs.
Heather’s goal is to walk alongside clients with empathy and presence, helping them feel more grounded, supported, and connected to themselves and their relationships as they move through parenthood and beyond.
