About Heather: Heather is interested in massage therapy for all body types and has a keen interest in finding techniques that can provide relief to every client who comes into her practice.
Heather graduated from Sutherland Chan (Toronto est. 1978) and has been practicing massage therapy in Alberta since 2015. During each visit, she creates a goal with her client that may include deep tissue massage, treatment focus, and/or relaxation massage. Her favorite modalities include Swedish massage, cupping, heat, positional release (shortening muscles to work deeper with less discomfort), light joint mobilization and fascial release techniques.
Heather can also provide massage for children and women in the prenatal stage of pregnancy.
With a Health Care Aide background and experience working with more complicated health conditions such as multiple sclerosis, strokes, spinal cord injuries, cognitive disabilities, autism, and clients with mobility or physical disabilities, she is able to adapt to provide massage to anyone who may want to utilize massage for their wellness.
Heather also offers short headache focus treatments using lighter modalities that focus on the upper body neck and head to provide tension relief and can be used as a headache maintenance tool. * this offering is not recommended for those in an active migraine state.
