Life at any stage is challenging, and when you have tried everything to overcome those challenges you can feel frustrated and hopeless. Perhaps you feel alone or stuck. Maybe you summon all of your strength to put on your mask every day to pretend that everything is alright. Maybe you're exhausted and you're ready for change. Heather works from the belief that hope and wholeness are possible. As a clinician, she creates space where clients can bring their whole self - the messy, the hurt, the hidden, the misunderstood - into this journey. Together, Heather works with clients to learn new ways of being, and develop the skills that we all need to live life to the fullest
Heather is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the British Columbia College of Social Workers (BCCSW).
Heather is experienced in working with children, youth, adults, and families from diverse walks of life in both community and clinical settings with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, life transitions, work stress, life stress, self-confidence/self-acceptance, personal growth/self-exploration, emotion regulation, intimate partner conflict, relationships, family dynamics/parenting and co-parenting.
Heather practices from a client-centered, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and systems framework. She strives to build a relationship of safety and trust with all clients, and to help all clients to feel supported through their journey towards living a life of vitality.
