About Heather
Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Trained
Heather Wilgar is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and the Lead Therapist at New Track Selfcare. She holds a master’s-level diploma in Relational Gestalt Psychotherapy and has over a decade of experience supporting individuals through trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and self-worth challenges.
Her approach is direct, relational, and grounded in compassionate curiosity. With a commitment to trauma-informed, harm-reduction, and culturally inclusive care, Heather creates a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, accepted, and empowered to show up as their full selves — even in uncertainty or emotional messiness.
Heather specializes in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy (PaP), with a focus on Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. Her personal and professional experience with non-ordinary states has taught her to trust the body’s innate healing intelligence, and she helps clients access that wisdom for deeper transformation.
Her integrative and embodied approach draws from Gestalt Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Relational Psychotherapy, Developmental Somatic Psychotherapy, mindfulness, yoga therapy, and incorporates CBT, ACT, and EFT when appropriate.
Heather believes that healing doesn’t come from fixing what’s “wrong,” but from understanding the protective patterns that once made sense — and then choosing, with support, what comes next.
