Hillel Kurlandsky
À propos de Hillel
Dans ses motsWho am I? I am a clinician fascinated by others’ hidden potential, and my passion and quest are to help them actualize their talents and become the best versions of themselves. I believe mental health is about uncovering roadblocks to self-actualization and freeing what is holding someone from their equilibrium. I believe one’s strength appears when taking the first step by reaching out and asking for help- a true sign of readiness to become the person that truly exists and is waiting to be discovered.
My therapy approach is customized to client’s individual and unique needs. I use an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach incorporating evidence-based and empirically proven processes, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment-Based Therapies- informed individual and family (ABT & ABFT), and Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) managing emotions, interpersonal connections, and mindfulness.
I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families, providing empathy and a safe space to explore and understand the challenges we face. My areas of focus are anxiety, depression, anger, self-esteem, relationships, parenting, ADHD across the lifespan and within the family system, men’s mental health, school-related anxieties, social behaviours, and performance. I work from a trauma-informed lens and specialize in neurodivergent communities.
With over fifteen years of experience working with students and families, I have a unique understanding of how to navigate academic stressors. I work closely with students, families, and university students to create actionable, achievable plans that help them actualize their potential.
I have a passion for normalizing therapy, especially for children and men, where, unfortunately, stigma still exists, focusing on overall well-being.
I look forward to connecting and getting to know you!
