Bonjour, hello! I’m Holy, a Registered psychotherapist (Qualifying). I am passionate about helping youth and adults navigate mental health challenges, strengthen relationships, and foster personal growth. I strive to provide a safe space where others can feel heard, understood and empowered to face and overcome challenges in their lives.
I aim to adopt a person-centered, integrative and culturally responsive approach in therapy, drawing from a humanistic and cognitive-behavioural perspective while recognizing the impact of identity, background and lived experiences on mental health. I strive to adopt an evidence based approach, while I tailor my interventions to clients’ unique demands, needs, and acknowledging the importance of a healthy connection with others.
Having personally experienced the complexity of cultural identity and adaptation, I am particularly passionate about working with African communities, immigrants and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds providing culturally sensitive care.
With a background in psychology as well as research on gratitude and coping strategies, I am also committed to collaborating with clients in order to foster resilience, emotional regulation, and self awareness to optimize overall well-being.
