Igal is a graduate of Sutherland Chan School of Massage Therapy and Mcmaster’s University Contemporary medical acupuncture program. He is constantly improving his orthopaedic skills, his knowledge of neuro functional-anatomy and learning new modalities through continuous education.
As a registered Massage Therapist he brings a passionate interest in the application of soft tissue therapy for recovery after injury, restoration of health and injury prevention. As a Massage therapist with a clinical mindset he applies a focused and goal-oriented approach to determine the best techniques for maximizing your recovery. His treatments are targeted, structured and tailor suited for your condition, needs and your physiology. He treats a wide variety of Musculoskeletal conditions such as: Golfers & Tennis elbow, postural deviations, scoliosis, Nerve compressions/Nerve Pain, Different types of arthritis, chronic and acute back/Neck/Shoulders/Lower & upper Limb pain, Spinal Stenosis, Sciatica, headaches, postural alignment.
My philosophy is” Match the technique to the pathology or the condition”, and I use a variety of modalities such as: Muscle Energy Techniques, Positional release, Fascial manipulations, massage techniques, Joint & Joint capsule mobilizations, cupping/ both dynamic & static, pressure/trigger points therapy, scraping tools, also a few different types of acupuncture techniques like: Peripheral Nerve stimulation, dry needling, Functional Fascial Therapeutics & the balancing method. I always strive to grow as a therapist, so I can help to relieve your pain and return you to the things you love to do.
The mind and body connection is integral in my approach, and I try to inspire and empower my patients and clients to restore that relationship between the self and the body, for happier and healthier living.
I believe that we are all unique, we have different bodies, different bony structures, different nervous systems & tissue sensitivities; therefore my approach to treatment is individualistic, keeping all those elements in mind.
