Inge Kooijman, RCC
À propos de Inge
Dans ses motsI am a BC Registered Social Worker and BCACC Registered Clinical Counsellor, with over 10 years in the mental health field.
My work is dedicated to helping people navigate and explore the challenges of being human. I place my trust in a non-judgmental, client-led approach to empower clients in navigating life’s challenges whilst helping them access their authentic, resilient selves. I hold a deep respect for the power of relationship, which I believe to be the foundation from which change, growth, and healing are possible, and I endeavour to cultivate a genuine, compassionate connection where clients may be seen, heard, and understood.
Theoretically, I embrace a humanistic, person-centred foundation, with integrative aspirations. I have a strength-based inclination and highly value the promotion of self-determination and autonomy. I strive to provide a trauma-informed, culturally safe, inclusive space whilst incorporating elements of client-centred listening and responding, existential theory, developmental attachment theory, experiential therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness strategies. My approach is tailored to each client, depending on their needs and preferences. I look very much look forward to collaborating with future clients, curious to see how our process together will unfold.
