About Jack
Bookings Open | A Registered Social Worker, Jack offers individual counselling for adults navigating change, healing, and self-discovery. They work with people living with PTSD and complex trauma, and those integrating the impacts of systemic oppression, identity shifts, or relational transitions.
Using an integrative, evidence-based approach, Jack draws from modalities such as relational therapy, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, DBT, and mindfulness. They specialize in working with clients experiencing trauma, PTSD, and complex trauma; perinatal mental health; and reproductive mental health including fertility challenges, pregnancy, the perinatal period, and postpartum adjustment.
Among their work with 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and those experiencing significant life changes, Jack also welcomes clients of all populations and life experiences. They offer space to explore self, patterns, and possibility in a relational, collaborative, and compassionate way as clients move through the tender thresholds of life.
Prior to becoming a social worker, Jack was a Research Assistant in the field of critical health supporting projects focused on lived experience, community wellbeing and impacts of systemic oppression. They continue to engage in research specifically in the field of reproductive health, and trans liberation.
Jack has experience working in and volunteering with queer crisis lines, sexual health clinics, youth services, and parenting and individual coaching and counselling.
With a belief that healing happens through connection within ourselves, with others, and in community, Jack strives for their practice to be trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and affirming of all identities, bodies, and communities.
When they are not at work they are usually hanging out with their wild children, spending time in the forest or near a body of water, collaborating on mutual aid projects, and reading.
