Dans ses motsSome of the most meaningful conversations begin with someone saying, "I've never told anyone this before." Throughout her life, Denisha has found herself in that position, not because she has all the answers, but because people have often trusted her with the parts of their story they never thought they would share, simply because she took the time to truly listen.
As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), Denisha believes people make sense. Every person has a story, and rather than focusing on what's "wrong," she believes in taking the time to understand what has shaped the person sitting in front of her and recognizes that no single therapeutic approach fits everyone.
Denisha holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts in Childhood and Youth Studies with a minor in Psychology, and a Graduate Certificate in Addictions and Mental Health. She supports survivors of sexual violence through Sexual Assault Centre Kingston and continues to work with young people involved in the youth justice system, many of whom navigate complex emotional, behavioural, and relational challenges.
She works with children (8+), adolescents, and adults, drawing from person-centred, attachment-informed, narrative, emotionally focused, and trauma-informed approaches. For Denisha, meaningful therapy begins the moment someone feels understood, and continue to show up exactly as they are.
Once clients get to know her, they often discover that alongside her calm nature is a warm, bubbly personality, a playful sense of humour, and the reassurance that therapy doesn't always have to feel heavy.

- Summer is her favourite season, especially if it involves a beach, a boat, or a live music festival.
