About Jalisa
I believe that mental health is just as important as physical health, and seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. Counselling provides a space to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, process difficult emotions, and develop practical tools to manage life’s challenges. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I can support you in finding clarity and healing.
I am a certified clinical counsellor, committed to creating a comfortable, safe, and trusting space for individuals to share their stories, explore their experiences, build resilience, and create meaningful change. I am dedicated to supporting you, regardless of where you are in your mental health journey, so that you can find happiness and live a fulfilling and purposeful life.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Before pursuing my master’s, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Counselling, which I truly enjoyed, as I have always been fascinated with human behaviour and have a passion for helping and understanding others.
I am a biracial, cisgender female, and my pronouns are she/her. I am proud of my Fijian and Italian roots and embrace both cultures wholeheartedly. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, travelling, and being in nature. I also love animals and food. Most importantly, I enjoy supporting others and helping them in their mental health journeys, wherever they may be.

- Depression
