Janelle Borders-Denault
À propos de Janelle
Dans ses motsJanelle is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who provides individual therapy and psychoeducational assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.
Her professional background includes work as a teacher and school psychologist, giving her a strong understanding of how learning, behaviour, and emotional well-being affect young people across home and school.
Janelle also has experience supporting individuals and families through grief and loss, caregiver burnout, serious illness, end-of-life experiences, and major life transitions. This includes her work as a hospice volunteer and as a grief and loss counsellor at the Edmonton Healing Centre.
Janelle's approach is relational, attachment-based, process-oriented, and attentive to the relationships and systems surrounding each client. When working with children and adolescents, Janelle incorporates therapeutic play; she believes it is their natural way of communicating and processing their experiences. In and out of play, she draws from client-centred and experiential therapies, incorporating CBT, DBT, and somatic strategies when helpful.
