À propos de Jaspreet
Dans ses motsHi, my name is Jaspreet, and I am a registered Psychologist in Alberta that has experience collaborating with clients that find it hard to connect or create direction for their lives. If you feel lost or are dealing with mental health concerns that create further complications in your ability to navigate life, then let’s connect and work through this. Clients connect with my practical, action-oriented methods, which blend ethical values like accountability and empathy to drive lasting change. Using ACT’s focus on value-aligned actions, I guide individuals, families, and couples to improve communication and define what matters to them. I also draw from solution-focused therapy and attachment therapy to help clients set achievable goals while addressing insecure patterns in relationships.
I understand how Trauma impacts a person by leaving one confused and lost to who they are when they react to situations and people around them. Trauma leaves an impact on our nervous system and reduces our ability to self soothe or be able to make decisions about our behaviour which leaves us feeling unpredictable even to ourselves. I draw from CBT and mindfulness-based therapy to help the client really experience what calm and ok feels like and how to retrain our body and mind to accept these healing emotions. You will be provided with concrete evidence-based tools drawn from various modalities to fit your unique situation to help combat PTSD symptoms.
As a person, I am committed to truth seeking, ethical living, accountability, and unlimited hope for change. I am a parent with a passion to apply what I know to create the best outcome for my loved ones. Hope drives me to find ideas and solutions for anyone that is struggling so that they too can stop feeling stuck and find their power to live their best life. I strongly believe the best thing we can do for others is find our own happiness so that everyone can have hope that happiness does exists and is attainable. Together let’s be that proof through how we live our lives that good things exist, for the benefit of everyone.
