INDIVIDUAL (12+) and GROUP
Jenna strongly believes that every individual possesses the inner strength, resilience, and knowledge to overcome life’s challenges that can become overwhelming at times. As a counsellor, she strives to create a safe, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and collaborative therapeutic environment in order for clients to gain new insights that will allow them to make the changes that they are seeking for themselves. In conjunction with creating a strong therapeutic relationship, she grounds her work in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT); however, Jenna utilizes an integrative approach to counselling which allows flexibility and respect for each client’s uniqueness.
Jenna has worked in community residential treatment programs, hospitals, community agencies, and in private practice at Whyte Avenue Psychological and Wellness. She has supported and worked with individuals of all ages, various cultural, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds with varied mental health conditions, gender identities, and sexual orientations.
The majority of Jenna’s career thus far has been dedicated to working and supporting individuals impacted by a variety of addictions (substance and process). She has extensive experience in both individual and group counselling. She has worked on multidisciplinary teams consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, general physicians, nurses, and social workers providing treatment and support for various psychiatric conditions.
