Jennifer graduated from the University of Toronto Physiotherapy program after completing an
Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Western
Ontario, specializing in Sports Injuries. As a varsity rugby team trainer, she worked closely with the
University of Western’s Athletic Department and Sports Physicians.
She has completed Kinesiotaping Level 1 & 2, and Kinesiotaping for neurological clients, furthering
the breadth of her physiotherapy skill set. She has extensive knowledge of the neurophysiological
basis of Kinesio taping for muscle facilitation and joint support, as well as muscle inhibition, edema
and pain control.
Jennifer is an advanced Specialist in Myofascial Release therapy. Completing Pelvic, Levels 1 & 2,
Cervical Thoracic Spine, Mobilization , Cranial Sacral, and Unwinding certifications in Myofascial Release Therapy.
Through this technique, she can effectively identify and treat fascial restrictions, which cause pain,
imbalances, headaches and many other issues causing dysfunction in the body.
Jennifer has completed advanced courses in Mackenzie Treatment of the Spine Levels A, B, C,
Restorative Yoga, Motor Relearning and Neurodevelopmental ( NDT) technique.
Jennifer has significant experience in outpatient orthopedic settings as well as areas of inpatient
hospital care, such as post-op surgical joint care and recovery (laminectomy, total knee, hip, shoulder
replacements, ACL, Achilles, and rotator cuff repair). In addition, she has expertise in neurological
and geriatric rehabilitation.
Jennifer has over 25 years of experience helping clients improve their movement capabilities, by
increasing their cardiovascular fitness, strength and motor control. Her experience involves treating
young athletes in basketball, baseball, football, competitive swimming, gymnastics, hockey, and
alpine ski racing.
Jennifer has experience treating individuals with a wide range of musculoskeletal and myofascial
dysfunctions. Her holistic approach addresses the root cause of clients’ issues to help decrease pain,
minimize injury recurrence and improve functional performance.
