Jenny Sunny
À propos de Jenny
Dans ses motsJenny is a Registered Psychotherapist in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a member of the Ontario Mental Health Professionals Association. She is also a Certified Clinical Traumatologist and an EMDR-trained therapist, with advanced training in trauma-informed care and nervous system (somatic) healing approaches.
Jenny offers a warm, collaborative space where clients can gently explore what's been weighing on them. She understands that experiences such as anxiety, trauma, and emotional overwhelm often have deeper roots, and she works alongside clients to thoughtfully unpack patterns that may no longer feel supportive, such as people-pleasing, emotional reactivity, or persistent worry. Her approach supports clients in building emotional regulation, self-awareness, and a stronger sense of inner safety and resilience.
Her integrative, evidence-based approach draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and somatic (nervous system regulation) techniques. Jenny works with individuals experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and relational challenges, supporting them in processing difficult experiences and moving toward meaningful, lasting change in a way that feels safe and manageable.
Jenny has a special passion for supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood. She recognizes that this stage of life can bring both deep joy and unexpected emotional challenges, including identity shifts, anxiety, and unresolved past experiences. As a mother herself, Jenny brings both clinical expertise and lived understanding to this work, offering a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can feel supported, seen, and understood.
Her intention is to walk alongside each client as they reconnect with their strength, their voice, and their sense of self, helping them move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.
