Client Focus: Kids, Teens, Parents, Individuals, First Responders
Many people come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, from themselves or others. I strive to help clients overcome the feeling that their emotions, past experiences, or current challenges are too heavy to manage alone.
Through a safe, collaborative, and compassionate therapeutic relationship, I help clients make sense of their experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, and reconnect with their sense of purpose and strength.
The result is often a greater sense of clarity, resilience, and confidence in one’s ability to face life’s challenges with hope and self-compassion.
I am a Registered Social Worker who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Social Work, and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto, specializing in Clinical Counselling. I have over five years of experience working with children, youth, young adults, families, and older adults.
I come from a rich clinical background, having provided counselling in hospital, community mental health, palliative care, and family settings. I have significant expertise in trauma, bereavement and loss, issues with self-esteem, and with assisting individuals and families in rebuilding their lives.
I am a provider of trauma therapy for first responders and Government frontline workers and understand difference due to culture, race, poverty and sexual orientation.
I draw from multiple therapeutic modalities—including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Practice, Motivational Interviewing, and Collaborative Problem Solving.
Issues I treat, but am not limited to are:
Anxiety/Social anxiety
Depression
Grief and Loss
Trauma
Coping Skills

Struggles pertaining to Gender & Sexual Identity LGBTQ2S+ inclusive safe space
A Little Bit About Myself!:
My favourite quotation is: “Expectation is the root of all heartache.”- William Shakespeare
The smell of coffee, outdoor walks and the sound of ocean waves bring me a sense of ease.
I like to spend my free time with my family and friends and enjoy checking out different coffee shops. I enjoy yoga and dancing and have picked up a new hobby of film photography in recent months.
