About Julie
Hello! I’m Julie, and I offer a calm, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and truly supported in what you’re carrying. My goal is to help you process what feels heavy, move through moments of overwhelm, and build a greater sense of safety, stability, and control in your life.
How I Can Help
I support young adults, adults, and seniors navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, and major life transitions. I specialize in working with trauma symptoms such as feeling stuck in "survival mode," emotional shutdown, or constant overthinking using a trauma informed approach that prioritizes your pace and comfort.
My Approach
I believe therapy should be a non-judgmental space where you can show up exactly as you are. I blend therapeutic techniques with compassion, client centered care to ensure therapy feels meaningful and applicable to your everyday life.
My practice is grounded in: Eye Movement Descensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Based Approaches and more.
Professional Experience
My background experience in both community mental health and private practice, I bring a deep understanding of how stress, life demands, and transitions impact us across all stages of life. Previously a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and Director of Resident and Family Services, I have a strong foundation in supporting clients through complex life challenges with empathy and real world perspective.
Personal Philosophy
I became a therapist to help others navigate life’s transitions, drawing from my own experiences with burnout and grief. I value authenticity and connection, providing a safe, grounded space to help you feel heard and supported as you move forward at your own pace.
