À propos de Kelci
Dans ses motsHello! I am Kelci Letkeman and I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist at Solace Psychology & Wellness. My education includes a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Science degree with Specialization in Psychology from the University of Alberta. I strive to cultivate a warm and inviting atmosphere, prioritizing values of authenticity, respect, and connection in my interactions. With a genuine commitment to creating a safe space for my clients, I aim to foster an environment where individuals feel valued and heard.
In my counseling practice, I support individuals of all ages. My approach is anchored in a person-centered, strengths-based framework, recognizing and nurturing the unique qualities and resources of each individual. I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) strategies as I support each client on their therapeutic journey.
Therapy for Children & Teens
I provide therapy to children using a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play-based strategies, and creative art interventions tailored to each child’s unique developmental needs. My work focuses on helping children build emotional regulation skills, improve social interactions, and manage challenges related to anxiety, ADHD, and other mental health concerns. Through engaging, child-friendly approaches, I create a safe space for expression and growth. I also believe strongly in the importance of collaboration with parents and caregivers — their involvement is essential in supporting meaningful and lasting progress outside of the therapy room.
I support teens in therapy using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and creative art interventions to help them navigate the challenges of adolescence. My approach focuses on building practical skills for managing anxiety, depression, stress, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and other mental health concerns. Through a balance of structured techniques and expressive outlets, I help teens develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and healthy coping strategies in a supportive, non-judgmental space tailored to their individual needs.
Therapy for Adults
I support adults in therapy using evidence-based strategies drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). This integrative approach allows me to tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I work with adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, emotional regulation, life transitions, and the ongoing challenge of maintaining a healthy work/life balance. My focus is on building practical skills, deepening self-awareness, and fostering meaningful, lasting change within a collaborative and compassionate therapeutic space.
Therapy for Families
I support families in therapy using Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) to help strengthen relationships, foster deeper emotional connections, and create lasting change. Through this approach, I guide families in navigating challenges, improving communication, and understanding the underlying emotions that drive patterns of interaction. Together, we work on building positive, effective communication skills and developing a clearer understanding of the different roles each person plays within the family unit. My goal is to create a supportive space where each family member feels heard, valued, and empowered to contribute to a healthier, more connected family dynamic.
A Bit About Me
When I am not at work, you can find me spending time with my husband and our two dogs (Diango and Rillo), reading a book, playing board games or spending time with friends and family. I also enjoy spending time on patios, listening to live music, and travelling.
