Kelly Jonsson
À propos de Kelly
Dans ses motsKelly became a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) because she experienced firsthand the positive impact massage therapy had on her own life and wanted to help others experience those same benefits.
She ran a craft business from home from 2009-2016 which caused repetitive strain injury in her shoulders and arms, and discovered that regular massage made all the difference in managing her pain. Kelly took Advanced Therapeutic Massage at Northern Institute of Massage Therapy and graduated from the program in 2019. She has since completed Orthopedic Massage and Myofascial Release techniques through Seminars for Health in Calgary, and has added Eric Purves’ Modern Management of Neck and Shoulder Pain to her massage repertoire. She is a member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada.
Kelly is passionate about Somatic/Body-Based Therapies. She spent 2014-2017 studying to become a Rosen Method Bodywork Practitioner, but for practical reasons decided to pursue Massage Therapy instead. Her experience with the Rosen Method helps to inform her of what clients are dealing with in terms of held trauma and chronic pain. Kelly continues to upgrade her skill set and is currently studying Biodynamic CranioSacral Therapy (BCST) through Body Intelligence in Calgary, and is due to complete the program in the spring of 2027.
Kelly grew up in the interior of British Columbia but has been living in the Innisfail area since 2005. She is a home schooling mother of seven very artsy children (including twins). She has spent many hours driving her children to art & pottery classes, drama productions and choir rehearsals and performances. Outside of the clinic Kelly loves to attend her adult children’s theatre productions and art gallery shows, cooking fresh food from scratch and spends most evenings watching movies and favourite TV shows with her large family.
As a massage therapist, Kelly offers a practical and confident therapeutic touch, as well as a safe space for you to rest and relax under her hands.
