Kelsey Robson, RCC
À propos de Kelsey
Dans ses motsPlease note: Kelsey will resume accepting new clients in September 2026.
Kelsey is deeply committed to supporting her clients to become the most full expression of themselves. From unraveling old patterns and stories, to uncovering and reconnecting to your longing, Kelsey walks with her clients on the path back home to themselves.
Kelsey takes a systems approach to her work - identifying the ways that capitalism, patriarchy, colonization, and ableism impact all of us. While Kelsey welcomes all people into her practice, she specializes in supporting women and teen girls to navigate the burnout and exhaustion that comes from living within these systems, reconnect with their bodies and emotions, tend to their needs, and make choices that are in line with their true desires.
Kelsey is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Masters in Counselling Psychology from the University of Victoria, and she has additional training in EMDR. Over the past several years she has worked in a multitude of therapeutic settings ranging from trauma and addictions work with unhoused folks coming out of incarceration, to supporting kids and teens with anxiety. For the past few years, she has run a thriving private practice both online and in-person on Salt Spring Island.
Kelsey supports her clients with burnout, anxiety, grief, self-worth, self-care, communication and conflict resolution, trauma processing, emotional regulation, and navigating transitions. However, she most loves to support individuals who are ready to move toward greater fulfillment by re-discovering their true self and re-connecting with their joy and longing. Kelsey also weaves spirituality and ritual into her work where it is desired by her clients.
Kelsey approaches her work from a variety of perspectives and is always willing to meet clients where they are at and modify her approaches to suit the needs and preferences of her clients. Her approach weaves in elements of coaching, relational and interpersonal therapy, attachment theory, emotion-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and somatic techniques. All the work she does is founded in trauma-informed practice. This means that Kelsey is always deeply sensitive to her client’s emotional state and felt sense of safety in her sessions.
Kelsey works with all genders, but specializes in working with women, pre-teens, and teen girls (ages 10 and up). She has experience in anti-oppressive practice and working with queer folks and LGBTQIA2S+ communities.
Kelsey grew up on so-called Salt Spring Island, BC on the unceded, ancestral lands of the SENĆOŦEN and Hul’q’umi’num speaking People. When she’s not at Madrona, you can find her curled up on the couch reading a book with her baby, or out on a paddle board with her pup. To find out more about Kelsey and her approach, you can visit her website here.
Kelsey is also our Collective Care Lead at Madrona. This role supports practitioners with in-clinic collaboration. She helps to deepen understanding and engagement amongst practitioners and create opportunities for collaboration as well as leading quarterly team meetings.
