About Kim: Kim, is a Registered Psychotherapist and Registered Occupational Therapist with a profound commitment to mental health and occupational therapy. Graduating from Occupational Therapy the University of Alberta in 2001, Kim has over 20 years experience. Kim holds certifications in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, ensuring the highest standards in mental health practice. Her empathetic, collaborative, and practical approach extends to addressing a diverse range of mental health issues including Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Personality Disorders, as well as supporting clients navigating issues related to Bullying, Harassment, Discrimination, gender Identity, and 2SLGBTQ+ concerns.
Kim's multifaceted expertise includes extensive work with First Responders in Traumatic Injury Programs, facilitating mental health treatments and return-to-work programs. Moreover, her commitment to supporting clients with sensory sensitivities, sensory processing challenges, and autonomic dysfunction is highlighted through her certification in the "Safe and Sound Protocol," a Polyvagal therapy-based intervention effective in treating sound sensitivity, emotional regulation, and autonomic regulation—a unique modality employed in mental health and Long Covid treatment.
As a Registered Occupational Therapist licensed in multiple provinces, including AB, MB, ON, NB, NS, NFL, Yukon, and NWT, Kim's contributions at Park Integrative Health exemplify her dedication to addressing the challenges posed by Long Covid. Specializing in cognitive rehabilitation, daily life skills management, disability adaptation, and identity redesign, Kim has been instrumental in aiding individuals navigating Long Covid complexities since its emergence in late 2020. Her unwavering dedication to advocacy and patient-centric care is evident through her role as a board member for ImmUnity Canada, advocating for patients with rare diseases, disabilities, and the Long Covid community.
