About Kim
We all face challenges and difficulties that can unexpectedly impact our lives. Together, we will explore these challenges holistically, from a bio-psycho-social lens, implementing your culture and beliefs while celebrating your strengths and values.
Our sessions are a relaxed, empathetic, non-judgmental, and inclusive environment where warmth and humour help create a space to share your thoughts and emotions openly and freely. Striving for you to feel heard, validated, and respected while building your confidence and resilience to navigate life's complexities.
With thirty-three years of broad, direct experience working with couples, family systems, and individuals in community settings, schools, hospitals, and treatment services, I have built a strong foundation in awareness, compassion, and understanding.
I specialize in couples and family counselling, as well as providing assessment testing and individual counselling. Employing a strengths-based, humanistic approach, I draw from a wide range of modalities, including person-centred therapy, internal family systems therapy (IFS), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Work, an honours diploma in Child and Youth Counselling, and a certificate in teaching English as a second and foreign language.
