Kousik Ramachandran is a highly experienced Edmonton physiotherapist based at our Edmonton Meadows clinic, bringing about 20 years of expertise in orthopedic and sports physiotherapy rehabilitation. With advanced certifications in dry needling, Advanced Vestibular Physiotherapist (university of Pittsburgh), spinal manipulation, McKenzie Methods, and more, Kousik offers comprehensive, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
Kousik’s client-centered philosophy focuses on high quality client education, individualized exercise programs, and injury preventive strategies to help clients recover from injuries and optimize their long-term health. He specializes in treating motor vehicle accident injuries, vestibular disorders (including vertigo/ dizziness/ nystagmus), musculoskeletal sprains and strains, sports injuries, and other complex conditions affecting the neck, back, shoulders, and knees. American Council on Exercise (ACE) certification and his passion for strength and conditioning further enhances his ability to support athletic performance and rehabilitation.
A career highlight came in June 2024 when Kousik participated in the ultra-endurance Race Across America (RAAM), supporting a medical team through 5,000 kms of cycling across 13 U.S. states—showcasing his dedication to pushing boundaries in health and fitness.
When he’s not at clinic, Kousik enjoys playing cricket in the summer, ice skating during Edmonton’s winters, he is also an avid gardener, and likes photography.

Custom OrthoticsNew patient
« Your therapist will complete a biomechanical assessment of your foot as well as a 3D digital scan of your foot so that your Custom Foot Orthotics will fit just right.
Orthotics are recommended for:
- Joint pain in the toes, foot, ankles, knees, hips or back when standing, walking or running;
- People standing and working on concrete/hard surfaces
- People who play sports regularly;
- People with diabetes;
- People with foot problems such as bunions, corns, fallen arches, etc.;
- People with bow-legs or knock-knees;
- People who suffer from sore feet on a regular basis;
- People over the age of 40.
Will These Be Covered? Most insurance companies will cover Custom Foot Orthotics with a prescription from a medical doctor, which can be obtained via virtual appointment. You should check directly with your benefits provider to confirm your coverage information.
We require full payment at the time of your appointment so that we can order your orthotics. Benefit companies don't allow direct billing for this service, so you will need to submit the necessary paperwork to your insurance for reimbursement.
