Dans ses motsOriginally from the Goulds, Krissy completed a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics at St. Francis Xavier University in 2002. After working in the Health & Fitness industry for a year, she completed her Masters Degree in Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta in 2006.
Krissy started her physiotherapist career working at one of Canada’s largest rehabilitation hospitals, “The Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital” in Edmonton Alberta (2006-2010), where she gained valuable experience working alongside orthopedic surgeons, overseeing patients after severe trauma, amputations, complex joint replacements and helped rehabilitate “Canadian Armed Forces” personnel who sustained complex injuries overseas.
In 2010 Krissy moved to Grand Cayman for a year working with a multi-disciplinary team in a Sports and Orthopedic injury Center. While in the Caribbean she became the Head Physiotherapist for the Cayman Rugby Football Union, travelling with and providing care for their national teams.
Krissy returned to St. John’s NL in 2011 where she currently practices at Riverside Therapeutics on Waterford Bridge Road. Riverside Therapeutics is an Orthopedic & Sports Injury clinic where Krissy maintains a full-time caseload while overseeing the functional aspect of the clinic with her colleague Eric Lamme.

Level 3 Manual Therapy as per CAMPT (www.manippt.org)
MacKenzie Part A (www.mckenzieinstitute.org)
APTEI Acupuncture and Dry Needling (www.aptei.ca)
Soft tissue treatment and mobilization.
One of Krissy’s main areas of focus is therapeutic exercises and core stabilization. She is committed to treating the injury as well as figuring out the cause, therefore preventing re-injury.
Krissy is an avid runner. She is a member and volunteers with local running club “Athletics North East”. Growing up, she was a competitive figure skater, played provincial soccer and was a University and National-level Track and Field and Cross country athlete. She continues to compete locally from 5km to the marathon distances.
Krissy is a mom to two beautiful kids, Jenna and Jasper
