Laura completed both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Physical Therapy degrees at the University of British Columbia, where she was also a member of the UBC Women's Varsity Volleyball Team. She has since lived and worked as a physiotherapist in Melbourne, Australia before returning home to Vancouver.
Growing up, Laura participated in a wide variety of sports, including volleyball, basketball, hockey, swimming, soccer, and triathlons, which gave her a strong appreciation for movement, performance, and the importance of staying active. Laura’s interest in physiotherapy began after tearing her ACL while playing varsity volleyball. Throughout her recovery, she experienced firsthand the impact that skilled physiotherapy can have—not only in helping someone recover from injury, but also in restoring confidence and enabling a return to the activities they love.
Using a combination of evidence-based education, hands-on therapy, exercise prescription, and long-term programming, Laura works collaboratively with her patients to create a personalized treatment plan that supports their goals. Her aim is not only to help people recover from their current injury but also to build the knowledge, confidence, and resilience needed to stay active and healthy for years to come.
In her spare time, Laura enjoys competing in beach volleyball, cycling, hiking, and travelling. You’ll often find her at Kits Beach training for her next beach volleyball tournament or exploring the local mountains.

Bike Fit
« Our physiotherapists have advanced training in bike fitting, are avid (some competitive) cyclists, and will do whatever it takes to find the fit that will enhance performance, increase comfort and prevent overuse injuries.
Our Approach:
Your therapist will:
• Conduct a brief medical/riding history: Your physio will learn about your goals, current level of cycling, and any issues you’re experiencing on the bike.
• Perform a musculoskeletal exam: Targeting trouble regions with cycling, specifically looking for range of motion or strength deficiencies that may be limiting optimal positioning.
• Assess your existing on-bike ergonomics: Identify pain sources.
• Observe your postural and pedaling techniques: From front, back, and sides.
From the on-bike assessment, your physiotherapist will:
• Adjust cleats, saddle, handlebars, and stem for optimal positioning.
• Recommend exercises and stretches to perform off the bike, if needed.
• Provide an individualized bike fit report: Includes measurements and modifications made, and any suggestions from the bike fit.
• If any adjustments are recommended that are not possible in the clinic, your physio will provide recommendations on where/how to proceed with this. »
