Lindsay is a Registered Provisional Psychologist who provides counselling services for children, adolescents, adults, and couples.
She has specialized training and experience supporting adults with complex trauma, substance use disorder, grief/loss, emotional regulation, interpersonal concerns, identity issues, depression, stress, and anxiety disorders. Lindsay also has extensive experience working with youth (ages 6-18) navigating concerns related to neurodivergence (e.g., autism spectrum and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder), social-emotional/behavioural issues, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and identity.
She is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, judgment-free space in which clients feel understood, accepted, and free to express their authentic selves. She provides warmth, compassion, and unconditional positive regard, and is committed to establishing strong therapeutic alliances with clients based on mutual respect, trust, open communication, and genuine connection.
Lindsay values the diversity of others and recognizes that each person’s journey is unique, so she tailors therapy based on the client’s particular needs, goals, and interests. She takes a trauma-informed and client-centered approach, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness techniques.
She will also be training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and is excited to be able to offer this therapy in November to further support clients in healing from trauma and emotional distress.
