About Lindy
Virtual sessions. Whether it is weekly, bi-weekly or monthly appointments, by video or phone, there are flexible options to suit your schedule.
Along with professional and compassionate counselling sessions, I also offer specialized services such as:
ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) for Adults. The ADOS-2 alone does not provide a diagnosis. The ADOS-2 can be used to evaluate almost anyone suspected of having ASD, but it does not provide a formal diagnosis. Potential benefits of the ADOS-2 includes increased self-understanding and understanding of neurodivergence connected to well-being strategies. Some individuals find validation and relief in understanding lifelong patterns. For those requiring a formal diagnostic workup, your ADOS-2 results can be used by a multi-disciplinary team towards a formal diagnosis.
Neurodivergent Coaching: Neurodivergent coaching is a strengths-based, non-pathologizing approach that supports autistic, ADHD, and otherwise neurodivergent individuals in understanding how their brains work and in building practical strategies for work, relationships, energy management, communication, and self-advocacy. Autism-Affirming Therapy (Not Social Skills Training) sits outside diagnosis and treatment, complementing counselling when it is needed. What helps:
Therapy that supports self-understanding, not forcing normalization. Focus on energy management, boundaries, and self-advocacy.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART): ART may be helpful for a number of challenges and mental health disorders including anxiety, codependency and sport performance. Traumatic memories, PTSD, acute stress disorder, and bullying are also proven. ART works by changing how the brain and body respond to memories — not by erasing them.
Your brain doesn’t store trauma as individual files that all have to be edited. It stores them in networks. When we work with one key memory, the brain often updates related memories automatically. The need for additional sessions are determined on an as needed basis.
Possible benefits include:
Reduced emotional intensity related to memories
Decreased anxiety or reactivity
Improved sense of calm and control
Increased emotional regulation
Improved sleep or concentration
Changes in negative beliefs about self or others
Results vary by individual, and no outcome can be guaranteed. Additional therapy may be recommended for underlying issues or strategies.
Academic and Behavioural Support: I work with parents looking for additional information on academic or other concerns. Assessment and intervention reports are provided with suggested interventions and supports. KTEA-3, WIIAT-3 and ABAS and BASC screeners are some of the tools used to identify areas that your child requires more supports for.
I am certified and trained in: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Art Therapy. I have proven success helping clients with anxiety-related disorders, depression, chronic pain, neurodivergence, cognitive and intellectual disabilities, trauma, sexual violence survivors, grief.
support for families, workshops & training (including Mental Health First Aid).
