À propos de Liza
Dans ses motsSince beginning her career as a Registered Physiotherapist in 2001, Liza Fortier has been guided by one clear principle: to help as many people as possible regain their health, function, and confidence. With the mentorship of incredible role models early in her career, Liza quickly discovered that healing is not just about the body—it’s about listening, understanding, and meeting patients where they are.
Over the years, Liza expanded her skill set to incorporate powerful techniques such as John Barnes Myofascial Release (MFR) and Visceral Manipulation. These gentle yet profound therapies allowed her to treat the body in a more holistic, interconnected way—tackling not only symptoms, but the restrictions and imbalances at their root.
More recently, the voices of her female patients, colleagues, and friends led her to a pivotal realization: women’s health—especially when it comes to pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary incontinence, and pelvic pain—is often overlooked, misunderstood, or shrouded in silence.
This inspired a new chapter in her professional journey.
Liza pursued advanced education in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy. By integrating her expertise in Myofascial Release with evidence-based pelvic health techniques, she developed a unique approach that is both gentle and deeply effective. What makes Liza’s work truly transformative is the combination of techniques and empathy she brings into each session. Through thorough assessment, hands-on treatment, and a strong emphasis on patient education, Liza helps to bring the right care to these patients where these issues can be reversed or significantly improved.
She believes that open conversations, professional guidance, and compassionate care can change the narrative around women’s health—and restore a sense of dignity, independence, and confidence to those who’ve been suffering quietly for far too long.
Liza is fluent in English and French.
