Lonneke de Groot
À propos de Lonneke
Dans ses motsHi, I’m Lonneke! I was born in the Netherlands but have called Sherwood Park/Edmonton home since 2001. I am fluent in Dutch. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Science degree from the University of Alberta. I began my career working with preschool, kindergarten, and early elementary aged children. I have experience with complex communication needs, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, phonological delays, articulation delays, language delays and disorders, and a variety of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools.
I believe in a neurodiversity affirming, play-based, and strengths-based approach. I create goals that are specific, functional, and realistic for your child and family. I aim to build capacity in families by including them in goal setting and sessions, so they have a strong understanding of what we are working on and why, and how they can continue to work on goals at home.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and friends, and snuggling my cat.
