Concussion AssessmentNew patient
« Concussions are a common occurrence in contact or speed sports. Concussion may result from direct impact, blow to the head or body that produces sudden rotational or shear forces transmitted to the brain. Neurological function may be affected due to axonal damage and symptoms can vary from patient to patient. We provide a thorough examination of the visual, vestibular, balance and cognitive systems as well the cervical spine (whiplash is a common contributor to symptoms).
Treatment can involve vestibular / visual/ balance rehabilitation exercises. Manual and active specific rehabilitation for the cervical spine. Pacing and planning techniques to manage energy systems. Sub-threshold exercise protocols. Return to sport protocols and testing. »Concussion Treatment

« Shockwave therapy accelerates the healing process in the body by stimulating the metabolism and enhancing blood circulation to regenerate damaged tissue. Strong energy pulses are applied to the affected area. These pulses occur for short periods of time, creating micro-cavitation bubbles that expand and burst. The force created by these bubbles penetrates tissue and stimulates cells in the body that are responsible for bone and connective tissue healing. In many instances, shockwave therapy is most effective in cases where the human body has not been able to heal itself on its own. »2 optionsShockwave + Physiotherapy AssessmentNew patient

« Dizziness, vertigo, and balance disturbances are often linked to inner ear (vestibular) dysfunction, head trauma, or other conditions affecting the vestibular system. Symptoms can include imbalance, nausea, blurred vision, and difficulty concentrating, and may vary widely from patient to patient.
Our initial assessment provides a comprehensive evaluation of the vestibular, visual, balance, and proprioceptive systems as well as the cervical spine (neck issues frequently contribute to or worsen vestibular symptoms). »Vestibular TreatmentFollow-up
Custom OrthoticsNew patient
« Experiencing foot or heel pain? Considering buying orthotics to help relieve the pain?
An orthotic is a shoe insert that supports the abnormal movement of a foot.
Peak Performance Physiotherapists will thoroughly assess your lower limb and foot biomechanics to determine the materials and type of orthotic that you need. We will then do a neutral suspension cast mold of your foot.
Our assessment may also include a Footmaxx evaluation to determine alterations in gait that might be imperceptible to the eye.
We use Paris Orthotics as our lab manufacturer. They are award winning and leading edge in the world of foot orthotics. They are located in Vancouver and are approved by all extended providers. Please visit their website for further info: https://www.parisorthotics.com/products
Remember: Not all orthotics are the same. An orthotic for running/walking will not perform in a ski boot (alpine or nordic) or a skate as the biomechanics of the foot are different.
Some extended benefit providers do not accept a physiotherapy assessment for orthotics. Please check with your provider as this changes without notice. »Disponibilités : vérifié il y a 1 h · les prix viennent directement de la clinique — jamais majorés
