Dans ses mots
Magali graduated over 15 years from a six-year full time course at the Institut Supérieur d’Ostéopathie in Lyon, France. This program is registered at the highest level with the National Directory of Professional Certifications; the top professional certification in France. Magali is a member of the Alberta Association of Osteopathic Manual Therapists (AAOMT) and she is trained in structural, functional, visceral, cranio-sacral, Jones (strain-counterstrain), Mitchell (muscular), GOT and pediatric osteopathic, fasciae and deep tissues approaches… In her last year of study, she had the incredible opportunity to make a humanitarian trip in Senegal, to provide free osteopathic cares to local populations. Her thesis about osteopathic cares with spinal cord injury patients allowed her to develop specific human and technical skills in the management of disabilities. Since then, Magali has collaborated in several clinics before opening her own in 2008 along with Gregory Lapalud, followed by a second one in 2010 due to their success. From 2010 to 2012, she also supported osteopathic students in the management of multi-handicapped patients and medical institutions. After her move to Canada she worked from 2018 to 2022 at Natturra clinic (Moncton, NB) in close collaboration with various health professionals. During this period, she has also developed with her colleagues a voluntary consultation dedicated to children with disabilities. In 2021 she started to offer aquatic osteopathy, to provide a zero-gravity care where warm water helps to achieve a deep level of relaxation and enhance the benefits of osteopathy. In 2022, with her family, she chooses to come and settle in Alberta to experience new adventures. Nature and outdoor are her go to. Enjoying activities in the Rockies with her family revitilizes her! All the way long, she has completed several postgraduate courses focused on peri-natality, fertility, pediatric cares. She has also taken training concerning autism or learning disabilities. The course she followed over 1 year on guided ultrasound osteopathic examination allowed her to deepen her knowledge of dynamic anatomy and musculo-skeletal pathology. Inspired by her mentors, she is particularly attentive to the emotional resolution of physical problems. All that background allows her to offer her patients an specific approach to a wide variety of functional disorders such as migraine, digestive disorders, sleep disorders, anxiety and stress, urinary and gynecological disorders, inflammatory pain, neurological pain, chronic pain and degenerative disorders, musculoskeletal disorders etc. Her overall care aims to understand the problem of her patients, both mechanically and emotionally, allowing her to adapt to all, including infants, the elderly, pregnant women and athletes.
