Physiotherapist & Hand Therapy Fellow
Manvir’s academic journey began at the University of the Fraser Valley, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. He later graduated from the Master of Physical Therapy Program at the University of British Columbia.
Manvir has completed his Orthopaedic Division Level 1 certification. He volunteers his time as a committee member of Sport Physiotherapy Canada (BC Division) and most notably, awarded the Student Merit Award by Sport Physiotherapy Canada for his graduating class. Manvir’s next professional challenge is to complete his certification in hand therapy. He is healthOne’s newest Hand Therapy Fellow.
Born and raised in Abbotsford, Manvir always had an interest in human anatomy and science. Coupled with his love for exercise, personal experiences with injuries, and participation in a variety of sports, including jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, soccer and more, Manvir pursued a career in Physiotherapy.
He has experience working with patients across all age groups and with varying functional needs. He has also provided coverage at high-level sporting events such as World Taekwondo Canada Open, Canadian Wrestling Championships, and professional MMA/Boxing events.
His past experiences allow him to work with a wide range of patients. His treatment strategy is a holistic approach which includes patient education, manual therapy, biomechanics, functional exercises, and addressing underlying concerns to ensure patients have long-lasting changes.
Outside of work, Manvir values quality time with his family and leads an active lifestyle which includes weightlifting, hiking, golfing, swimming, and tennis.
Manvir is fluent in Punjabi.
