Originally from Brazil and of Spanish descent, Marcos Nery is passionate about the body and movement. He developed this passion in the arts and sports worlds, where he was involved in theatre and circus arts from a young age. He holds a bachelor's degree in theatre performance, a master's degree in performing arts, and training in aerial acrobatics from the National Circus School.
In 2013, he moved to Montreal to further his training as an aerial acrobat and to develop new collaborations in the circus and academic communities. There, he pursues a rich and diverse artistic career as a performer, coach, and researcher, working with several companies and participating in numerous festivals in Brazil and Canada.
Originally from Brazil and of Spanish descent, Marcos Nery is passionate about the body and movement. Seeking to deepen his understanding of human movement, he went on to complete a doctorate in Arts Studies and Practices at UQAM, followed by a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, which led him to the field of rehabilitation. His experience in private and public practice, working with circus artists, gymnasts, and the general population, is a true asset in supporting the return to performance and daily activities.
Motivated by the desire to further develop his clinical expertise, Marcos earned a master's degree in Physiotherapy from McGill University, where he honed his skills in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and in the sports/arts environment.
Curious and passionate, he is committed to maintaining a practice grounded in the latest evidence, combining manual therapy techniques, personalized exercise programs, and health education to optimize function and promote a sustainable return to the activities that matter most to his patients.
Marcos is distinguished by his clinical rigor, his ability to establish a climate of trust, and his dedication to providing interventions tailored to each individual's specific goals. He values transparent communication and structured support throughout the rehabilitation process.
